Sustainable Development
The environment is always a top priority and a challenge for businesses in balancing production development with maintaining environmental sustainability. With over 15 years of experience in the garment industry, Thien An Phat Textile Investment Joint Stock Company is committed to continuously striving towards sustainable development. For the past four years, Thien An Phat has implemented a recycled production line and achieved GRS/OCS certification, confirming our ability to produce garments from recycled and organic materials. With an experienced management team and staff, we are committed to providing high-quality products through modern production lines, ensuring efficient management and separation between non-recycling orders and orders made from recycled/organic fibers, and strictly controlling the journey of recycled/organic materials from input to output.
Energy and Water Saving Strategy
Alongside production initiatives, Thien An Phat prioritizes energy-saving strategies. We establish both short-term and long-term objectives and perform annual environmental impact assessments using the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM), verified by third parties. Moreover, Thien An Phat strictly adheres to wastewater treatment procedures in accordance with national environmental standards. The quality of the treatment system and treated wastewater is inspected quarterly by environmental monitoring unit, including chemical and biological indicators, to ensure compliance with safety standards prior to discharge into the environment. We repurpose treated water for irrigating plants and grass within the company’s premises. Energy-saving and waste reduction strategies are reviewed and evaluated annually.
Transition from coal to biomass fuel
Looking ahead, the company plans to transition from coal to biomass fuel in boilers to reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental protection. The use of biomass materials in production can enhance the sustainability of the supply chain. This helps reduce reliance on non-renewable resources and mitigate negative environmental impacts. Biomass materials typically generate fewer carbon emissions compared to traditional energy sources like coal. This can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing climate change.
Strive to minimize environmental impact
Thien An Phat Textile Garment Investment Joint Stock Company is committed to continuous efforts towards sustainable development. We always strive to enhance production processes and improve factory conditions to minimize environmental impact. Planning ahead, our company aims to utilize renewable energy by installing solar panels on the factory roof to harness energy from sunlight. The factory will be designed to maximize natural lighting and use energy-saving devices to reduce dependence on the national grid. Our company also advocates for the planting of trees around the factory premises to provide shade and reduce the ambient environmental temperature; applies effective insulation materials to the walls to keep the factory cool in summer, creating a comfortable working environment for employees and saving electricity. We believe that sustainable development not only benefits the business but also helps protect the planet for future generations. Our goal is to maintain a balance between corporate benefits, environmental protection, and social responsibility.
